Corporate Money To Combat Violence At Orlando Schools

April 30, 2008 By: admin Category: Education No Comments →

More corporations should follow the example being set by GMAC Finances and Chevy in the Chevy R.O.C.K. (Reaching Out to Communities and Kids) program. Grant money is being provided to several Orlando schools to provide funding for nonviolent initiatives.

Violence Not the Answer to Resolving Disputes at Orlando Schools

While students attending Orlando schools may see violence as a way to resolve disputes between people, the truth is that there is always a better way to than using your fists, a weapon, or intimidation to make your point. I applaud these two corporate sponsors to seeing a need for this type of program in Orlando schools and taking steps to respond to that need and make a difference. We need more corporations responding to community issues in a positive way like this, not only for Orlando schools, but in cities and towns nationwide.

To teach children how to play the piano, you have to teach them the basics of music - keys, notes, chords, melody, and harmony. With these tools learned, your kids can experience the joy and sense of accomplishment from playing their favorite songs on the piano.

Introduction To Molds

April 09, 2008 By: admin Category: Education No Comments →

Molds are not plants, they are not plants because they have no chlorophyll, nor do they have leaves, roots, or stems, and they have no firm cellulose based cell wall. Mold cell walls are made of chitin, the same stuff crab and shrimp shells is made of.

Mold is compiled of microscopic thread like structures called hyphae; in fact the root word mould is an old North Western European term possibly a Viking term meaning fuzzy.

Mold is made of microscopic fibers, and it produces microscopic spores, but mold is not microscopic. Like you and me, it starts out as a single microscopic cell, after a while it grows into a visible, fuzzy, smelly, colorful, living mass of fibrous connected cells.

Direct Launching-an Alternative Route

March 29, 2008 By: admin Category: Education No Comments →

With Congress lowering funding to NASA to what they need and want, along with many negative situations occurring around NASA itself, many engineers and mid-level managers inside of NASA and other related industries have come up with a second alternative launching mission–DIRECT Launching– to reach the Moon and Mars at a faster pace, plus at a savings to NASA of $19 billion in developmental costs, along with an additional savings of $16 billion in operational costs spread over the next 20 years. With these kind of savings, not only would NASA “not” be in a bad situation if Congress pulls any money from them, but also because with that kind of money other areas in NASA could be financially more stable.

Overcoming Nerves At A Fencing Tournament

March 26, 2008 By: admin Category: Education No Comments →

“I always get really nervous before a tournament. I’m concerned about fencing people I’ve never fenced before. What do I do?”

Think back to your last tournament. You were probably standing in the venue, looking around at all of the new faces. Remember when the pool was called, and you and the rest of the fencers in the pool are at the strip waiting for the referee to arrive? I can recall how I felt at that moment. My heart would be racing and my chest would feel tight.

Fast Ways To Learn Basic Spanish

March 24, 2008 By: admin Category: Computers and Technology, Education No Comments →

When you start out learning Spanish like I did in school by just learning a few basic words and phrases, you will be amazed at how quickly you will pick up and learn the language faster. Before I was born, my parents moved here from Mexico, and although they did know how to speak Spanish, they chose not to do so around the house. And I learned only a few simple phrases growing up. So even though as children we learned to speak English pretty well. Our Spanish was almost non-existent. My friends learned slowly but steadily at home, but I did not.

Dark Conspiracies And Extraterrestrial Secrets, Part 1

March 20, 2008 By: admin Category: Education No Comments →

The US government has a secret. It’s one of those deep dark dirty little secrets. And they don’t want the public to know about it. It could be worse then the ludicrous conspiracy theory that our own government was behind the Kennedy assassination. It’s more perplexing than the unlikely proposal that the Apollo Moon landings were frauds and staged here on Earth.

It could even be more dangerous then the Holocaust denialists position that the Nazis didn’t instigate the slaughter of several millions of Jews, which nonchalantly suggests that most of them emigrated or escaped to other countries instead. Fortunately, these claims are absolutely improbable, and this other little secret is more plausible, and yet quite incredible. In fact, numerous witnesses will attest to its reality.

Bad Credit Student Loans - How Credit Affects Your Financial Aid

March 18, 2008 By: admin Category: Education No Comments →

College is expensive, and many students use financial aid to pay for tuition, books, and other education-related expenses. Student loans are the most common type of financial aid. With so many loan programs available, there is more than one way to find money for school. Whether you have good credit or bad credit, banks, credit unions, and Federal loan programs offer packages to fit every need. Of course, if you want to maximum your loan choices, a good credit history is imperative. While bad credit will not disqualify a student loan applicant, bad credit student loans come with steep penalties and higher rates.

Even The Sums And The Arithmetic Add Up Accurately In The Biblical Record

March 16, 2008 By: admin Category: Computers and Technology, Education No Comments →

How did society and culture develop in these early times? The Bible speaks of everything being created perfectly by Almighty God, but then it also describes how things went so terrible wrong suddenly, until we have a murder, and we have only reached Chapter 4 of Genesis.

Cain is so determined to create a worldly society - leaving God out of it - and this is where there is spiritual warfare today. But secular ways and secular things can be used of God. Our work - our industry - our service - our commercial transactions and trading - our music and culture - can all be redeemed by the saving Blood of Jesus Christ.
